Welcome to Trash Hero on the beautiful island of Koh Mak! Every Saturday, we invite you to participate in our non-profit event and help clean up the environment to raise awareness about the importance of preserving our planet.
Trash Hero is an initiative started by dedicated volunteers to rid the beaches and communities of Koh Mak of litter. Our goal is to make the island a cleaner and more sustainable place where natural beauty and wildlife can thrive.
Every Saturday morning, we gather at the beach and begin our day with a brief introduction about the purpose of the event and safety guidelines. We provide participants with collection tools such as gloves, trash bags, and grabbers, and together we set out to collect garbage.
The event is accessible to all age groups and experience levels. Families, locals, tourists, and school groups are all welcome to join us. In addition to the clean-up activities, we also offer informative lectures and presentations on environmental topics to foster a deeper understanding of the challenges our ecosystem faces.
After the work is done, we gather at the beach to refresh ourselves and inspire each other. We share experiences, make new friendships, and discuss the importance of sustainable practices in our daily lives. Together, we create awareness for the environment and work towards a better future.
